Doctor Watson

Today was an interesting adventure. My sister and I were out driving and came across what looked like a rather large rock in the road. However it was far too geometric to be a rock. Also, too move-ey. It was this poor little guy. We hastily brought him home and planned to set him down back at Etra. We had some stuff to do first, so we gave him a little bowl with some water to keep his feet wet. We spent about two hours with him in there, and he was pretty shy but we wanted to get some pictures of him.
We didn't know quite what to name him-- my sister wanted to name him Bowser, while I had some other ideas: Pharaoh, Road Runner, and some things a bit too stupid to mention. He began to come out of his shell a little. Literally. I could stand near him without his head going back in his shell but if I tried to pull my phone out to take another picture he would shrink. I had to be sneaky about taking pictures.
We eventually decided on Doctor Watson. Or Watson for short.
After a little while he didn't seem to mind me so much, seeing as I kept trying to take pictures and he didn't get hurt anyway. Seemed a little less scared.
We would wanted to have kept him, but he was huge-- probably around 8 inches. (That's why I'm pretty sure he was a he-- usually female turtles are a little smaller. Well, I think so, anyway.) Here's his majestic, evil little face.
